Capture your first meeting

Any of these arms capture — and only these. Amlin never starts on its own.

Click ● Start transcribing in the bar at the bottom of the note. The bar switches to ≋ Listening · 00:00 with animated audio bars and a running timer.

If you opened the note from a calendar event with a join link, the ↗ Join button opens the meeting and starts transcribing in one click.

This is the part people get wrong at first: don't try to take good notes. Type the things you'd want to remember — three words, a name, a number, a half-thought. Sparse fragments are exactly what Amlin is built to expand.

Nothing on screen fights you for attention: no AI buttons, no suggestions. The intelligence shows up afterward.

Want to see what's being heard? Click ⌁ Transcript to slide open the live transcript, with your voice on one side and the other side of the call on the other.

When you move to Zoom or your browser, a small floating recorder appears at the right edge of the screen with a timer and live audio bars. It floats above every app and space, so you never have to wonder whether Amlin is still listening. Click Open to jump back to the note.

Closing the note window does not stop capture. That's what the floating recorder is for.

Click ■ Stop. Within a couple of seconds, "Enhancing…" appears and structured notes begin streaming into the Enhanced view: sections shaped by a template, with an Action items list underneath.

Your own words stay black. Amlin's added detail is gray. Toggle ✎ My notes ↔ ✦ Enhanced in the header at any time — your raw notes are never overwritten.

That's normal, and it's the most common case in the real world. Amlin builds the whole note from the transcript alone.
