Click ⌁ Transcript in the bottom bar to slide open the live transcript. Click ⌁ Hide transcript to close it. The panel works during the meeting and afterward.

Me and Them

Lines are labeled by which channel they came from:

  • Me — your microphone

  • Them — your system audio, i.e. everyone else on the call

This split is structural, not a guess: the two audio channels are captured separately, so the labels can't drift.

Within the Them channel, Amlin also clusters distinct voices, showing them as Them · 1, Them · 2, and so on. These are clusters, not identities — Amlin will never attach a name to a voice on its own.

Naming the voices

If you want real names in the transcript:

  1. Open the transcript panel and click 👤 Speakers in the toolbar (or click a speaker label directly).

  2. Each detected voice appears with a representative quote so you can tell who's who.

  3. Type a name, or pick one from the calendar attendee chips.

  4. Save.

Every line from that voice is renamed, and any action items already attributed to it are re-attributed to the real name. Clear the field to revert to the default label.

Amlin never guesses names. Nothing is auto-attributed — real names appear only when you assign them.

Raw and Clean views

The toolbar at the top of the panel has two modes:

  • Raw — the verbatim transcript, exactly as spoken

  • Clean — a reader view with fillers removed and self-corrections applied

Clean is much easier to skim after the fact; Raw is what you want when the exact wording matters.

⟲ Catch me up

While a meeting is live, the toolbar shows ⟲ Catch me up — it summarizes the last few minutes for you. This is the one to use when you join late, get pulled into a message, or lose the thread.

During the meeting

The transcript streams live, so you can glance at what was just said without asking someone to repeat themselves. You can also ask questions about the transcript while the meeting is still running — see Ask anything.

Exporting

To get the transcript or notes out, use ⋯ → Copy Notes or Share to Slack — see Sharing and exporting notes.
