Because no bot joins the call, other participants get no automatic signal that you're capturing notes. That's a feature — and it puts the disclosure decision in your hands.
What to consider
Recording and consent laws vary by jurisdiction, and some places require all-party consent. Amlin can't make that determination for you.
Your employer or your customer may have policies about meeting capture, especially in regulated industries.
Amlin does not record or store audio — only text. That's a meaningful distinction in many policies, and worth stating accurately if you're asked.
What most people do
Say it once, at the top:
"I'm taking AI-assisted notes — no recording is stored, just a transcript. Let me know if you'd rather I didn't."
If someone asks you to stop
Hit ⏸ Pause for a sensitive stretch, or ■ Stop to end capture entirely. Pausing keeps everything captured so far, and transcribes nothing while paused.
